Flurries have been moving through the area since this morning, and once again we’re dealing with an Alberta Clipper paired with lake-effect streamers — a combination that will continue bringing light, intermittent snow throughout the night.
At this time, we’re measuring 2.5 cm on the west side of Orléans and up to 4 cm on the east side, with totals varying depending on where the streamers set up.
Given the current accumulation, we are dispatching Operators and Shovelling teams for all clients enrolled in our Ultra 2.5cm Service this evening.
These streamers can drop anywhere from 0.25 cm to 2 cm at a time, and may continue overnight with inconsistent intensity.
Because of the stop-and-start nature of this system, we will re-evaluate conditions tomorrow morning. Forecasters are also calling for an additional 1–3 cm Sunday night, so if needed, we may perform a final clean-up Sunday afternoon once we have a clearer picture of total accumulation.
Thank you for your patience as these early-season systems continue to surprise us. We’ll keep you updated as conditions develop.
Stay warm,
The Worry Free Team
